Clarissa Talve revered as a famous star-studded Flamenco dancer was a rose in the garden plucked out by the greatest Flamenco dancer in Hollywood and worldwide, Jose Greco, when she was only 14. Jose Greco was the well-respected Flamenco dancer and movie star of their time and Ms. Talve shares her story that runs deep. She generously and expressively shares her memoirs. Ms. Talve explains her tragic moments when she was hit with polio and TB as a child, but overcame her physical challenge. Clarissa Talve (the e pronounced as a long “A”) takes us back in time at the unwavering dedication to the magic of dance in her latest book, “Dancers Never Die.” At a young age, she was chosen by Carmen Amaya to be the featured dancer in her Dance Company which led to her traveling extensively. The gypsies taught her the “wisdom of the gypsies.” As a young adult, she was again picked by Jose Greco to be one of the great Flamenco Dancers with Escudero and other greats admired in the world of dance including many who were working with the Jose Greco Dance Company.

Today, the fabulous Ms. Talve currently resides in New York and continues to work while contributing her experiences and talent to the history of dance by the energies of her heart ad mind. Her second great passion today is drawing and painting. In 1963, she published a book, “Fascinating Womanhood” that sold over 3,000,000 copies. Julie Neuffer researched Andelin’s anti-feminist movement between the 1960’s and 1970’s and compares it with the book written by Betty Friedan,” The Feminist Mystique,” taking the reader back to the era when pro-liberal feminism was on the rise. During the interview, Julie Neuffer, stated that she was surprised to learn that there was a population of women who could care less about the women’s movement during the movement, but enjoyed being housewives and mothers. She talks about the importance of home cooking and family meal time before the new age of fast foods and fast living. Today, there’s no time for cooking. Today, there is little time for family. Her family was born in Italy and she provides a fun and entertaining interview as she shares her recipe book of original home cooked Italian foods with the audience titled, “Mangiare e Amare. Eat and Love! It’s the Italian way to happiness. America’s traditional immigrants from around the world applied for citizenship legally and they were proud to be Americans and assimilate as Americans. The immigrants prior to today weren’t attempting to change the USA into their foreign nations, but were proud to be Americans, assimilate, and speak English. They may have moved into ethnic neighborhoods at that time, but they were here to make America a better country by working hard to reach their American dream. They came to America so they could work hard and buy a home or a small business. The family unit was important. Meal time was a time when the family came together to talk about their day.
