Rose Colombo, radio host and author, welcomes the well-respected Psychologist and author, George Cave,  sharing his latest book, “Just Be A Dad.” The author shares his knowledge and expertise related to the importance of  the role of a dad and the powerful role that dads play in the lives of their children. He explains the myriad of problems and insecurities that kids face when the dad is “MIA” or  missing in action from the family home, not just physically, but emotionally.  Dads are important.  Mom are important, but each has an important role when raising children.  Moms weren’t intended to be both mom and dad to children and when dad is MIA, kids become latchkey kids and many kids lose their way.  Many girls take their pain and seek an older guy to fill the love and attention they miss from their dads.  It hurts kids when dads abandon their families or end up as Disneyland dads. Many times, teenagers engage in relationships during their teenage years to help ease their pain.  Many adults take the pain from their childhood to their  graves because that piece of their heart never heals. In fact boys hurt, too, but they aren’t as verbal about their pain, so they turn to their peers, and some times, they turn to violence and suffer from low self-esteem.  Rose Colombo’s fascinating guest, psychologist and author,  George Cave, opens the eyes of parents as he provides informative and insightful information on the importance of dads in his book, “Just Be A Dad.”  Click below to listen to the interview…...
