It wasn’t until 2001 after she retired from news and copywriting that she was able to sit down and write fiction full time. Much of what Silverman writes about today is pulled from events that were reported from Inside some of Los Angeles’ busiest newsrooms where she spent the bulk of her career. Her main character, Carol Childs is called to the scene of a body dump and has no idea she is about to uncover a string of missing girls that leads to a high powered real estate mogul and to a dangerous cartel targeting girls for human sex trafficking. Gregory Newson, founder of Newson Publishing, presents the opposite side of what historians employed by the winners of the Civil War have recorded throughout history. Gregory Newson, writer, artist of realistic, and fantasy art shares his first fictional book with some historical facts included is hot off the press titled “Uncle T and the Uppity Spy. Mr. Newson reveals the fictionalized story of two young black brothers whose lives take different paths and diverge into very different directions during the Civil War era. The young black boy, Jim Lewis, is chosen to be a house slave to Thomas J. Jackson (soon to become General “Stonewall” Jackson), while living on Jackson’s farm. Jim’s manners, intelligence and character,impress General Jackson and endured the boy to him. When the war begins, a mature Jim serves as General Jackson’s trusted body servant. The book reveals that both Black men and White men fought on both sides of the war and not all slaves were treated poorly. The two men grow close and the story is intertwined with a twin brother of Jim Lewis consigned to life working in the fields that leads to the contrasts between the two twin brothers. Newson points out that General “Stonewall” Jacks holds the honor of being known as the undefeated General.

Clarissa Talve revered as a famous star-studded Flamenco dancer was a rose in the garden plucked out by the greatest Flamenco dancer in Hollywood and worldwide, Jose Greco, when she was only 14. Jose Greco was the well-respected Flamenco dancer and movie star of their time and Ms. Talve shares her story that runs deep. She generously and expressively shares her memoirs. Ms. Talve explains her tragic moments when she was hit with polio and TB as a child, but overcame her physical challenge. Clarissa Talve (the e pronounced as a long “A”) takes us back in time at the unwavering dedication to the magic of dance in her latest book, “Dancers Never Die.” At a young age, she was chosen by Carmen Amaya to be the featured dancer in her Dance Company which led to her traveling extensively. The gypsies taught her the “wisdom of the gypsies.” As a young adult, she was again picked by Jose Greco to be one of the great Flamenco Dancers with Escudero and other greats admired in the world of dance including many who were working with the Jose Greco Dance Company.

Today, the fabulous Ms. Talve currently resides in New York and continues to work while contributing her experiences and talent to the history of dance by the energies of her heart ad mind. Her second great passion today is drawing and painting. The women have no rights. They must obey all the men’s commands. They never met the men who they were promised. Laila broke the pattern and shares her human interest and timely story with the hope of educating the Egyptian females that they aren’t chattel, but human beings with a God-given right to life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness and the right to choose. Laila hope to help the Egyptian women understand that they have a free will just like the women who live in free societies. She said her speaking out is dangerous. She hopes to help the women unite and break away from the control of men who have brainwashed the women into believing that God orders the men to control all women. This is a true-to-life story with the hope of helping women in the Middle Eastern pen their eyes, minds, and hearts, and build on a united platform so they can become human beings who can think for themselves and be treated equally.
