Rose Colombo welcomed Judy Watson, editor and author of an exciting new book, “WINGS and Other Recollections of Early Hollywood.” Following the Justice Club and Rosie’s Rants with the issues of the day, Judy Watson enters into the world of “Author’s Corner.” She shares her book based on actor Richard Arlen’s life as told to her mother, Maxine Koolish, who documented everything and left those precious stories to Judy Watson discovered after Maxine Koolish passed away. This author reveals untold stories about the movie “WINGS and Recollections of Early Hollywood” which is filed with the Library of Congress and noted for its magnificent camera work forty years ago. She tells stories of how Richard Arlen met the Gabor sisters after escaping from the Nazi’s into the USA, as well as, fascinating untold stories about Laurel and Hardy and Gary Cooper. Judy’s family has a long history of media involvement and she shared a compelling first-hand look inside the golden age of Hollywood and made it available to movie buffs and Americans addicted to Classic Movies and the history of the Golden Hollywood era. The fugitive MI-6 agent is suspected of supplying Russian arms to rebels in a West African nation. The key character, “Wade Hanna, accepts the deadly Tangier assignment to stop the arms before they arrive. His fellow agent and lover, Megan remains in the dark about his disappearance. The unwelcome uncertainties greet Wade when he finds his separation from Megan may be permanent at the hands of others he can no longer trust.”

Rose Colombo Welcomes Filmmaker and Author, Paula Fouce sharing her latest film and book, “Not in God’s Name: Making Sense of Religious Conflict on “Author’s Corner.” Paula Fouce explores the discord among the world’s religions and seeks solutions for ending religious-based violence. She shares her true story of visiting India, Tibet, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Kashmir, where she experienced a variety of vast cultural and religious diversity. She came face-to-face with destructiveness and nearly lost her life during a sudden and violent attack. Her protector and the favored female leader at the time sadly ended up assassinated. This caused people such as Paula Fouce to seek ways of escaping death because the religious beliefs of the people living happily in that particular village were suddenly and violently attacked. The mystery of why Paula Fouce wasn’t assassinated in the midst of an uprising while the insurgents searched her bus remains a mystery and for reasons unknown she was fortunately saved. Perhaps, it was the spiritual insight she gained about the myriad of spirituality and faith during her visits with prominent leaders such as the Dalai Lama and Mother Teresa and so many more dedicated people with a vast insight into spirituality and religious beliefs.

Afterwards, Rose enters into “Police Corner” and she provides information about an an in-the-news problem affecting so many Americans today. She delves into traffic stops and the increase of arrests. The question remains if the government is issuing quotas to arrest more people as more Americans appear to be arrested and jailed after simple traffic stops. Some officers appear hostile in the videos towards the drivers and Americans should wonder if that could happen to them or their loved ones. The government has secretly built so many new private prisons that it should be disturbing to Americans because the only way jails remain open is if the beds are filled. There appears to be a serious increase and conflict of simple traffic violations between the drivers and the police in recent years and the question remains wide open as to why. Gregory Newson, founder of Newson Publishing, presents the opposite side of what historians employed by the winners of the Civil War have recorded throughout history. Gregory Newson, writer, artist of realistic, and fantasy art shares his first fictional book with some historical facts included is hot off the press titled “Uncle T and the Uppity Spy. Mr. Newson reveals the fictionalized story of two young black brothers whose lives take different paths and diverge into very different directions during the Civil War era. The young black boy, Jim Lewis, is chosen to be a house slave to Thomas J. Jackson (soon to become General “Stonewall” Jackson), while living on Jackson’s farm. Jim’s manners, intelligence and character,impress General Jackson and endured the boy to him. When the war begins, a mature Jim serves as General Jackson’s trusted body servant. The book reveals that both Black men and White men fought on both sides of the war and not all slaves were treated poorly. The two men grow close and the story is intertwined with a twin brother of Jim Lewis consigned to life working in the fields that leads to the contrasts between the two twin brothers. Newson points out that General “Stonewall” Jacks holds the honor of being known as the undefeated General.

Clarissa Talve revered as a famous star-studded Flamenco dancer was a rose in the garden plucked out by the greatest Flamenco dancer in Hollywood and worldwide, Jose Greco, when she was only 14. Jose Greco was the well-respected Flamenco dancer and movie star of their time and Ms. Talve shares her story that runs deep. She generously and expressively shares her memoirs. Ms. Talve explains her tragic moments when she was hit with polio and TB as a child, but overcame her physical challenge. Clarissa Talve (the e pronounced as a long “A”) takes us back in time at the unwavering dedication to the magic of dance in her latest book, “Dancers Never Die.” At a young age, she was chosen by Carmen Amaya to be the featured dancer in her Dance Company which led to her traveling extensively. The gypsies taught her the “wisdom of the gypsies.” As a young adult, she was again picked by Jose Greco to be one of the great Flamenco Dancers with Escudero and other greats admired in the world of dance including many who were working with the Jose Greco Dance Company.
