Rose Colombo welcomed Judy Watson, editor and author of an exciting new book, “WINGS and Other Recollections of Early Hollywood.” Following the Justice Club and Rosie’s Rants with the issues of the day, Judy Watson enters into the world of “Author’s Corner.” She shares her book based on actor Richard Arlen’s life as told to her mother, Maxine Koolish, who documented everything and left those precious stories to Judy Watson discovered after Maxine Koolish passed away. This author reveals untold stories about the movie “WINGS and Recollections of Early Hollywood” which is filed with the Library of Congress and noted for its magnificent camera work forty years ago. She tells stories of how Richard Arlen met the Gabor sisters after escaping from the Nazi’s into the USA, as well as, fascinating untold stories about Laurel and Hardy and Gary Cooper. Judy’s family has a long history of media involvement and she shared a compelling first-hand look inside the golden age of Hollywood and made it available to movie buffs and Americans addicted to Classic Movies and the history of the Golden Hollywood era. It wasn’t until 2001 after she retired from news and copywriting that she was able to sit down and write fiction full time. Much of what Silverman writes about today is pulled from events that were reported from Inside some of Los Angeles’ busiest newsrooms where she spent the bulk of her career. Her main character, Carol Childs is called to the scene of a body dump and has no idea she is about to uncover a string of missing girls that leads to a high powered real estate mogul and to a dangerous cartel targeting girls for human sex trafficking. Clarissa Talve revered as a famous star-studded Flamenco dancer was a rose in the garden plucked out by the greatest Flamenco dancer in Hollywood and worldwide, Jose Greco, when she was only 14. Jose Greco was the well-respected Flamenco dancer and movie star of their time and Ms. Talve shares her story that runs deep. She generously and expressively shares her memoirs. Ms. Talve explains her tragic moments when she was hit with polio and TB as a child, but overcame her physical challenge. Clarissa Talve (the e pronounced as a long “A”) takes us back in time at the unwavering dedication to the magic of dance in her latest book, “Dancers Never Die.” At a young age, she was chosen by Carmen Amaya to be the featured dancer in her Dance Company which led to her traveling extensively. The gypsies taught her the “wisdom of the gypsies.” As a young adult, she was again picked by Jose Greco to be one of the great Flamenco Dancers with Escudero and other greats admired in the world of dance including many who were working with the Jose Greco Dance Company.

Today, the fabulous Ms. Talve currently resides in New York and continues to work while contributing her experiences and talent to the history of dance by the energies of her heart ad mind. Her second great passion today is drawing and painting.
